The present global situation

In the past, cultures distributed in separated geographical zones did not touch each other as much as today. Today one hegemonic culture is imposing its views, thinking, way of life and economic system all around the world. This quick process of globalisation is one of clash and generates friction, many cultural codes clash and many new values as well as old traditions are invalid or useless. Nonetheless today’s world is moving towards a new civilisation to emerge, the one of a universal human nation for the first time in human history and the prior step to built it is a process of regional dialogue.

Cultural phenomena are at the base of human societies; these are codes rooted in the collective consciousness, the ideals of happiness, and spirituality. Today, what is weighing is the culture of the region. Culture and regionalisation go hand in hand; to refer to regions is to refer to cultures. The conservative mentality will have a problem with the intense differentiations that come before the complementation of planetarisation. The new generations may be the more able to bridge the gap.

On the other hand, over decades a generational abyss is observed. The generational dialectic has stopped in the last 30 years. There is no dialogue between generations, neither dialectic. Generations are so separated that they are like different cultures and they expect to be treated as such. Recently, new bridges, links are attempted to be built between them. Let us promote interchange among them, let there be rubbing and friction! It is necessary to build bridges to reactivate the dialectic.

At a personal level, in all regions we observe lot of disintegration between people and people aspire for strong and clear references. The humanists all over the world are working to create a new reference for a world more human, peaceful and tolerant where living together becomes possible.
